Just installed this week. In December. When it's in the 30's at night. We have a 14x18 covered deck with a ceiling fan. We have the 6000 watt version. That's the only one to get. Takes a while to get to full heating power but it does the job. In the 30's, you're still going to be cold and need proper clothing but it makes it possible to sit outside. I can see when the temperature is in the 50's, it'll be perfect to take off the chill. I had professional electricians wire it. Need heavy wiring from the panel directly to the unit plus a kill switch. They wired the deck so I can add a second heater in the future, which I will. Having 12000 watts coming from two directions will make it comfortable in low temps. We got the standard remote for$300+. It's just for on off and only controls one unit. If we get a second, we'll need a second remote. The $800 remote can dim the power. No need for that. Save the $500 difference. Without remote, you need to install 2 switches (1 for each element) in addition to the kill switch. (Switches need to be visible. Kill switch doesn't and it's behind the outdoor television.) After reading all the comments, it's clear the 6,000 watt is the only way to go. We tried a regular plug in heater and it didn't heat 2' in front of it. This is a powerful heater and is hardwired and run off a 220 volt 10 gauge wire. I highly recommend electricians wire it for you.

I have been using two of these together, in my garage, since 2017, about 500 sq. Ft.
They work properly, effectively and reliably.
They do use a fair amount of electricity, when you have them on a auto with a thermostat.

Enjoying this heater on our boat deck with roof area. Provides comfortable heat for our 100ish sqft south TX area during winter months.
Great customer service, as I broke heating element during unpacking from shipping box (carful easy to do). Called customer service and they immediately shipped replacement.

I needed to contact the company for a couple of things: received broken bulbs, how to properly dispose of broken bulbs and handle new bulbs, issues with unit working.

Each time I contacted the company their response was very fast and they immediately resolved my issue or answered my questions to a satisfactory level. They even assisted in troubleshooting the power switch I did not purchase from them, which resulted in me purchasing a replacement from them.

Product works great and I’m looking forward to sitting outside on those cooler nights that used to drive me indoors.

These are simply wonderful, we have two mounted about 16 feet apart and 8 feet high. Their heat maps overlap perfectly and they keep the area warm on cold Seattle nights. Very very happy.

This a great heater but not cheap. Overall it cost about $1000 for the heater and controller then another $1400 for an electrician to run 220 VT from my panel, about an 80 foot run. But the unit works great, the wireless controller works well with two settings. So for $2400 I can sit outside in the fog and stay warm!

Had a problem with the wiring going to heater. This was not a design problem but a supply chain error by one of the secondary suppliers. Contacted Bromic and was knocked down by the effort to correct the problem. The service was first rate. No product is perfect but when you have a issue and the manufacturer corrects promptly it means a whole lot. I would not buy from anyone else.

I've had these heaters on my screened in porch for about a year now. They make chilly nights perfectly comfortable. My electrician initially wired them incorrectly so I called Bromic. They walked me through the proper wiring set up over the phone and I had both heaters working in under an hour!! It is rare that a company actually answers the phone these days but Bromic was there when I needed that technical support. I highly recommend these units!

I ordered the brackets separately because some reviews said they did not come with the heater, but they did come with mine, so I returned the extra brackets. Electrician installed a 220 line to my back porch and assembled and mounted the unit. I have it mounted on a beam about 8 feet high and angled down at my patio sofa. Unit is about 8 feet from a person seated on the sofa and it is quite comfortable. So far the temperature has only gotten down into the fifties, but I think this unit would keep me comfortably warm into the forties as long as there is no wind. When there is a breeze, this heater is somewhat ineffective, but when there is no breeze, I love it.

By the way, one of the two heating elements was broken when it arrived. I contacted the supplier and they immediately shipped me a new heating element for free and no questions asked. Good on them.

I am so impressed with this product, I’m moved to write about it. First of all, I bought this for my husband since he does all the grilling. (We bought the One40)
The initial reason I caved in was because it looked so much better than the Egg that we already had in our backyard. WOW was this a major improvement! When it was delivered I was a bit skeptical. It arrived looking different than in the photos. Later I realized this was because the steel has unique patinas which makes every single one so unique. Totally true as the one we got had really nice sections that had different colors all over it. Within days of it arriving, I already noticed it turning much more uniform in color; gorgeous! The real test was in the cooking. Four days after we received it we cooked for my mother and my three kids. We cooked fish that had NO problems whatsoever cooking evenly and without the sticking that normally occurs when my husband cooks fish. We made asparagus and cut potatoes in half to crisp on all sides. Everything was delicious. But the reason I am leaving a review was due to the fact that I was not intimidated to cook on this. It reminded me of cooking with a pan on a stovetop. The surface is flat and doesn’t shoot flames at me which i hate. The other reason is because it was SO easy to clean. After the food was done, we pushed everything into the middle opening with the spatula!! This grill looks like art and I never thought i would ever ever be able to say that about an outdoor grill!!!
